The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is this Friday, April 22nd from 6 pm to midnight. It has become largest and most meaningful events it the fight against cancer with events all around the country. it will be held at Lakewood High School at 1400 54th Avenue South. Opening Ceremony: 6:00PM
Event kickoff celebrates the lives ofeveryone battling this disease.
Survivors Lap: 6:15PM
Survivors take a lap around the track as a celebration of victory of this terrible disease
Caregivers Lap: 6:15PM
Caregivers are the vital link to survival, so they are honored next, with the one they cared for, if possible.
Luminaria Ceremony: 9:45PM
Work through grief, get support, and find hope at the candlelight Luminaria Ceremony where we memorialize those we have lost, support those still in the fight, and honor those who fought cancer in the past.
Closing Ceremony: 11:30PM
A moving ceremony to remember those we have lost and those who still carry on the battle against cancer.
