Celtic Punk band Flogging Molly returns to downtown St. Petersburg this Thursday at Jannus Live. This unique band with a distinctive style has a large following in St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay, and we at Downtown Yellow Taxi always get a lot of calls when they come to town. That’s a good thing; that means that you Flogging Molly fans are responsible and don’t drink and drive.
Many people don’t know that bandleader Dave King used to be the lead singer for the heavy metal band Fastway with guitarist “Fast” Eddie Clarke of Motörhead and bassist Pete Way of UFO back in the early to mid ’80s. The genesis of Flogging Molly came in 1993 when King met fiddle player Bridget Regan and they formed a band that played rock with a Celtic influence. Now some twenty years later, they have gained a loyal following worldwide, and this summer they will be touring all across Europe. Their official website can be found here.
So call Downtown Yellow Taxi for your safe ride to the show in downtown St. Petersburg. Our professional drivers will get you to and from the show quickly and efficiently. Call us at 727 379-4440, and save our number in your phone! You’ll be glad you called us.
